The legendary tight end of the NFL Rob Gronkowski is looking for some footballing action. He is presently retired and enjoying his leisure. But fans could find him in action if he gets an opportunity to represent the United States of America (USA) in the Olympics.

The former TE spoke explicitly on the possibilities of his comeback to the field. He said that he is ready to hit the field by 2028 if he receives a call from the US team in the flag version of the tournament.

In a recent interaction with TMZ Sports, Gronks shed light on his possible return. He said, “Count me in already! Hopefully there’s no tryouts and they just accept me,” said the former tight end, who walked away from the NFL for good in 2022. “But I’m in. I’m going for that if there is flag football in the Olympics in 2028. USA going all the way!”

The 4 time Super Bowl winner will be 39 when the Olympics will kick off in the year 2028. However, that does not prevent him from getting geared up for the Los Angeles Olympics. He believes that he will be fit for the ‘Greatest Show on the Earth. The legend said, “I can tell you this. If there was a flag football league — an NFL flag football league — I would be playing in that currently as we speak.”

The New England Patriots legend is presently enjoying the football of the Miami Dolphins. He is highly moved by their offense and earlier wished to be a part of the team as a TE. Gronks said that the team has a missing link and as a TE he could fulfill that link.

Rob Gronkowski’s is a certified NFL legend 

As a TE, Gronkowski had eleven seasons in the league. He mostly represented the New England Patriots, where he won three Super Bowls. Later, the player left the Patriots in the year 2019 and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the year 2021. He took his boots off after the 2021 season and since then he has been enjoying the retirement life.

In his eleven seasons in the league, Gronkowski played 143 games where he registered 621 receptions and 92 touchdowns. He covered 9,286 yards and had 76 long receptions. He provided his best for the New England Patriots.
