Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski recently spoke about Bengals QB Joe Burrow and even compared him to NFL legend, Tom Brady. Burrow has performed exceptionally for the Bengals in the last two seasons, and this year is amongst the best QBs in the NFL. He has rallied the Bengals into their second consecutive playoffs and this season too will look to reach the Super Bowl.

Burrow has 4475 yards to his name with 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He had amazing stats during the regular season and will now look to carry his form in the postseason as well. Over the last two years, Burrow, with his calm demeanor and aggressive play, has been compared to Tom Brady multiple times. Speaking on the “Up & Adams” show with Kay Adams, Gronk was asked the same question.

“Yes, I 100% see the comparisons. I actually thought about the comparisons when I watched him. The first time I ever heard about Joe Burrow was at the National Championship game when he won it with LSU. When I watched it, I was like this guy reminds me of Tom Brady,” Gronk said.

Adding further, Gronkowski said that Burrow is very calm during the game and added that it is his ability to read the field which overpowers every other thing. Gronk said that the ability to read the defense is what makes a QB great and Burrow has it just like Tom Brady.

“Just his presence in the team, how calm he is, and the way he’s able to read the field and what the defense is doing. It doesn’t matter if you’re the strongest quarterback in the NFL, if you can read the defense and see where the defenders are, that’s what makes you a top-quality QB in the NFL, and Joe Burrow has that just like Tom Brady,” he added.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals will now face the Baltimore Ravens once again in the wildcard round this week. This is projected to be an easy game for the Bengals with Lamar Jackson set to miss the game for the Ravens. If they win, Cincinnati will face top-seeds Kansas City in the divisional playoffs.
