4-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski has spoken about a possible reunion with Tom Brady. Throughout the course of his career, Gronkowski has played football with Brady- initially with the New England Patriots and then for 2 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All of his 4 Super Bowl victories came with Brady and the Brady-Gronkowski duo is one of the most decorated duos in NFL history.
A few days ago, Brady lost the wildcard playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys and many think that Brady might’ve played his last professional game. He is 45 and is nowhere close to his best and not many teams would want him as their starting quarterback after his no-show against the Cowboys on Monday night. Having said that, Brady has confirmed nothing about his retirement decision.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Rob Gronkowski spoke about a possible reunion with Brady. When asked where he was more likely to reunite with Brady: on the field or on television with Fox, Gronk said that he believes a broadcast booth looks more likely. He hopes that Brady comes and joins him very soon because it’s a lot of fun. He went on to explain why being on broadcast is fun with a lot of like-minded people around.
“I would say in the broadcast booth,” Gronkowski told SI. “I’m hoping that he comes and joins me very soon. It’s a lot of fun. Fox has just great people. We have such a great team in the studio. We’ve got Michael Strahan. We’ve got Howie Long. We’ve got Terry Bradshaw. They’re just such great guys to be around.”

Rob Gronkowski believes Tom Brady could be a good commentator

Gronkowski further explained how covering a game as a media person is so much fun. He said that everyone is cracking jokes and having a blast in a studio but added that according to him, Brady isn’t someone who is made for a studio. He believes Brady would do great in a booth calling the game and he himself isn’t much for a commentator.
“They get the job done but at the same time, they’re always cracking jokes and having a blast, which I love. But I don’t think Tom will be joining us in the studio, I think he’ll be up in the booth. I’m not a booth booth guy … I’m not a commentator,” he added.
Brady’s future in the NFL is still uncertain. He will make a final call for next season in a month’s time. As of now, he is linked to the likes of the Raiders and Dolphins strongly.
