“Don’t you want Super Bowls?” Rob Gronkowski THRASHES Aaron Rodgers for his selfish ‘I can win MVP’ comments
Rob Gronkowski can't believe Aaron Rodgers still wants another MVP rather than a Super Bowl.

Once again, the prospect of Aaron Rodgers leaving the Green Bay Packers and potentially announcing his retirement has come under question. The 39-year-old had made up his mind to quit last year itself but came back once the Packers offered him a three-year $150 million contract extension, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to earn $50 million per year.
Aaron Rodgers has had a Hall of Fame career during his 17 years in Green Bay. But after delivering back-to-back MVP seasons, there has been a steep drop in his production since he lost his favorite receiver, Davante Adams. Adams, who is considered one of the best wide receivers in the league, had to move to Las Vegas because the Packers were unable to pay him after Rodgers signed the largest contract in the league.
The Packers quarterback was called selfish because he was unwilling to take a pay cut to keep Adams on the roster. The 39-year-old has been notoriously known for his temper tantrums as well and threw a large fit when Green Bay signed Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL draft. Even after spending his whole career with the Packers, it seems that he has zero loyalty toward his team, and pundits as well as fans have shared the same opinion.
Rob Gronkowski says Super Bowls are five times greater than an MVP

After failing to lead his team to the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers talked about his future in the league and potentially leaving Green Bay on The Pat McAfee Show, which has attracted a lot of anger from everyone in the league. “Do I still think I can play? Of course. Can I play at a high level? Yeah. The highest,” Rodgers said. “I think I can win MVP again in the right situation. Right situation, is that Green Bay or is that somewhere else? I’m not sure.”
This extremely selfish thought of Rodgers thinking in terms of MVP and not Super Bowl has irked former NFL tight end, Rob Gronkowski. “I’m totally fine with everything he said, except one major part, and that’s the ‘MVP again.’ It’s just that I think ‘I could win another Super Bowl,’ and that would have been totally fine. Like, bro, like why are you thinking MVP? Don’t you want Super Bowls? Like Super Bowls are I think five times greater than an MVP award,” Gronk said in a talk with Kay Adams on Up&Adams.
Rob Gronkowski, 4x Super Bowl champion, did not take Rodgers’ comments well. Like always, Rodgers has put himself first ahead of his team. Tom Brady has won 7 Super Bowl rings, not only because he is a generational talent but also because he is willing to take pay cuts so that the team can sign talented players. In the 23 years Brady has been in the league, he has never once been the highest-paid QB in the league.
Granted that Aaron Rodgers has won 4 league MVPs and he can win another MVP as well because he has the talent to achieve that, but that’s not the end goal for any player in the league. All 32 teams in the league fight each other for seventeen weeks and in the postseason so that they can have a player win the MVP. No! They do it to win the Super Bowl.

Maybe this selfish thinking is exactly why he only has one Super Bowl win to show for in his 18-year career in the league and shows where his priorities lie. Rob Gronkowski came back from retirement for Tom Brady and won his fourth Super Bowl because Brady does not think in terms of MVP. After retiring at the end of the 2021 season, Gronk is reportedly bored and wants to come back and play. Where he lands is entirely dependent on where his longtime friend Brady goes. Let’s hope that they reunite and win another Super Bowl as they did back in 2020!
