Patrick Mahomes had a terrible game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs came into the game on the back of six consecutive wins in the season. They won against the Broncos in their week 6 matchup and were favorites to win again on Sunday. However, the Denver-based team came out firing and held the Chiefs’ elite offense to just 9 points.
Mahomes finished the game with 241 yards and two interceptions. He failed to score a touchdown and completed 63.2 percent of his passes. It was one of the worst performances of his career. Sports anchor Rob Parker claimed that Mahomes’ career may have already plateaued. Parker believes that the football might have already witnessed Mahomes’ prime and that he may never get back to that level again.

Parker said on the Fox Sports Radio show, The Odd Couple:
I’m ready to say this: that Patrick Mahomes may have plateaued. We might have seen the best of Patrick Mahomes already in his career, and he may not be better than what he was. That’s not to say it’s ‘bad’ but he might have plateaued because two of the last three years have not been what we were used to seeing when he started so great the first couple years. You can’t keep stripping away everything. Statistically you have to admit this is his worst season.Rob Parker on The Odd Couple
Mahomes is still widely regarded as the best player in the world. He is still the reigning league and Super Bowl MVP. One bad game should not change that. However, it is true that this hasn’t been Mahomes’ best year as he has struggled on multiple occasions. He is Patrick Mahomes though, so he will eventually figure it out.
Fans slam Rob Parker for saying that Patrick Mahomes has already plateaued
Rob Parker has made some controversial and bizarre statements in his professional career. But this might just top them all. In a latest edition of the Fox Sports Radio show, The Odd Couple, Parker claimed that Patrick Mahomes might have plateaued already after a poor performance against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The fans on social media were outraged. Mahomes is still one of, if not the best QB in the NFL and he rarely has bad games. Some fans called Parker a “hater” while others thought it was a laughable take. Here are some of the reactions to the statement.
Mahomes so far this season has thrown for 2,258 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has led the Chiefs to six victories in eight games this season. The Kansas City-based team is still one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year. Great players have a tendency to bounce back after horrible performances and Mahomes is a great player. He will be back to normal sooner rather than later.
