The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is currently preparing for his comeback in the upcoming season. Amidst this, he might have an opportunity to be involved in something bigger than football. The independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reportedly reached out to Rodgers to run as a Vice President candidate.
According to a report from The New York Times, Aaron Rodgers is on the top of the RFK’s list of potential Vice President candidates. Kennedy and Rodgers have been ‘continuously talking’ about the possibility of the Jets QB running for Vice Presidency according to the report.

It is no secret that Rodgers and Kennedy share a lot of similar ideologies. Most famously, both Rodgers and Kennedy were anti-vaxxers and have been spending a lot of time together in recent months. In fact, Rodgers even once proposed a tag team debate (about vaccines) between a team of him and Kennedy and a team of Travis Kelce and American physician-scientist Anthony Fauci.
Rodgers has been a great quarterback in the NFL for nearly 2 decades. However, in recent years, he has become a polarizing figure among the public due to his controversial take on several issues. He has already endorsed Kennedy Jr. ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections. Now, he might become his running mate.
The New York Times reporter Rebecca Davis O’Brien also reported that the domain name “kennedyrodgers.com” was registered last week using a GoDaddy host.
The Jets quarterback would certainly bring a lot of star power with his name to the campaigns, but he has zero experience in public office, which would be a big problem. Rodgers would get chastised by many if he decided to join Kennedy as his running mate.
Would Aaron Rodgers abandon the Jets to join Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his running mate?
The New York Jets quarterback has now an opportunity to run as Vice Presidential candidate in the 2024 election campaign according to reports. But would he be up for it?

The 40-year-old recently claimed that he is planning to continue playing in the league for three or more years. He is still focused on football and it would be foolish of him to abandon it to join hands with an independent Presidential candidate.
However, as the NY Times reported, Rodgers has been ‘continuously talking’ with RFK about the opportunity. So, the possibility of him running for Vice Presidency can’t be ruled out.
