Is Aaron Rodgers a Vice President candidate in the upcoming Presidential elections in the United States? Perhaps we won’t know until the elections begin. But the quarterback is surely hinting at a likely scenario where his fans may get to see his name on the ballot.

Amidst the whole controversy of Rodgers allegedly believing in Sandy Hook conspiracy theories, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Independent presidential candidate, seems to be in full spirit of supporting his potential running mate. He is also known for making the former NFL MVP relevant outside the league and their friendship appears all over the news headlines lately.

As ABC News reported, Kennedy Jr. made a subtle comment on the potential scenario of Rodgers being Vice President in his reign as US President. In a conversation with Fox News’s Trace Gallagher, last Wednesday, RFK showered high praises on the Jets’ quarterback.

Kennedy said while praising Rodgers:

Aaron Rodgers is battle-tested. He's been hammered by the press, he's stood up for things he believes in and I like that part of his character. He is a critical thinker and I think we need that at the time.

One of the visible reasons why Kennedy Jr. shares a close connection with Rodgers is because both of them share a penchant for having controversial or confusing views on things. And so far, Rodgers is the most likely candidate to be the Vice President, if RFK gets elected.

Why did Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorse Aaron Rodgers’ name for Vice President candidate?

The New York Jets quarterback came under quite the limelight about his infamous views on the COVID-19 vaccine. Interestingly, RFK shared quite a similar opinion, or rather more controversial, as he said giving the COVID-19 vaccine to children is a serious criminal medical malpractice.

While showering high praises on Rodgers, the presidential candidate also revealed why he has named the NFL quarterback as the VP candidate. Kennedy Jr. said:

He is somebody who I think will help me get the country healthy again.

From Kennedy Jr.’s words, it seemed quite obvious that Rodgers was the favorite to be his running mate, he wasn’t the only candidate. He has selected a No. 2, as he hinted during his Fox interview, but he refused to name the possible candidate.
