Robert Griffin III launches a verbal attack on Sean Payton for not respecting Russell Wilson amid benching saga

The tussle between the star quarterback Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton is no longer a secret. Both of them have been in a catfight throughout the season. However, it has become much out in the open now. With Payton benching Wilson for the rest of the season, the NFL world is curious about the SB-winning QB’s future in the team.
Amid all the tiffs and tussles going on, former quarterback Robert Griffin III took the side of Russell Wilson. He said that Sean Payton had been playing dirty tricks with the quarterback from the very first game of the season. In a clip of himself speaking on the latest issue, the former QB added that the HC did not give much respect like he needed to give to the quarterback.
Griffin III stated on RG3 and The Ones:
For Sean Payton to do everything he’s done to Russell Wilson when he came in the door, he was trying to make it seem like he was not the problem. When you pay a quarterback like Russell Wilson, who has won a Super Bowl, and is a Hall of Famer, when you treat him the way that Sean Payton has, it just feels to me like he doesn’t want him to be his quarterback.Robert Griffin III on Russell Wilson
Well, thousands of things indicated that things were not well between the two. However, the team management came up with a different logic behind benching the star quarterback. They said that the decision was taken to save Wilson from injuries. If the QB gets injured in the remaining two games, then the team has to bear the cost of nearly $37 million.
Sean Payton-Russell Wilson struggle was evident in the season as well
The struggle between the two came into the picture much before. It started very early when Payton openly criticized Wilson for his late calls. He suggested Wilson wear a wristband to give calls early. Though Wilson never opened himself up to the criticism that his HC made, things became sour between the two.
The heat became evident again in the game against the Lions. Due to the poor result, Payton shouted at the quarterback openly. Robert Griffin III took a stance in favor of the quarterback again as he asked the HC to explain the situation.
Griffin III added:
