The veteran defensive end Robert Quinn is currently searching for a new home in the off-season. He is currently one of the top free agents available and would not face difficulty in signing a new contract. However, now the veteran defensive lineman has made it tough for himself in free agency as he gets into legal trouble.

On Tuesday night, the former Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher was arrested in Summerville, South Carolina, and is facing multiple charges of hit-and-run and assault on a woman. According to WCSC in Charleston, S.C., Quinn was responsible for a wild incident as he drove his car into four other vehicles, a gate, and a light post.

Furthermore, he made things worse for himself as he allegedly punched a woman in her face following the incident. He allegedly made a promise to the victims to buy new vehicles before punching a bystander.

He was very belligerent,” Lisa Ball, who lived nearby the crash, said, per WCSC.“He kept saying, ‘Oh don’t worry about it I’ll buy you new cars, I’ll buy you a new car, let’s go to the dealership.’ I told him to get off my property, and he proceeded to put his hands on me and slap me not once but twice.”

The former Pro Bowl defensive end is now facing seven different charges including third-degree assault, battery, and hit-and-run property damage. A couple of days after the incident, Quinn turned himself in on Friday. He was given a $155 personal recognizance bond.

This is not the first time Robert Quinn has gotten into trouble with the law. Back in 2012, the former Chicago Bears edge rusher was involved in a car crash in Missouri. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and received a fine of $277.

Furthermore, the talented DE was also involved in a scandal during his college days at the University of North Carolina. He was suspended for his entire junior season back in 2010 for taking improper benefits, according to reports.

On the sporting side of things, Quinn is a rare talent. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. So far, Quinn has played 12 seasons in the league with 5 different teams. He has registered 102 career sacks and has received 3 Pro Bowl nods in his career so far.

In 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles acquired Quinn in a mid-season trade with the Bears in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick. He played six games for the NFC Champions.
