Last season ended in a tragedy for the New York Jets, making them the first team across the total 32 to be eliminated from the playoffs race. Still, somehow, nearly every week there had been a headline with the Jets’ name in it and the credit for that majorly goes to Aaron Rodgers.
When the franchise traded the former NFL MVP from the Green Bay Packers, they had high expectations of at least making it to the playoffs, if not the Super Bowl. But in the very first snap, their hopes and dreams came crashing to the ground as Rodgers sustained a serious torn ACL injury and got benched.
For the remainder of the season, there were many speculations or rather hype surrounding the return of the star quarterback, involving tons of controversies, dragging the Jets’ name in all. And it looks like the organization noticed it too well as head coach Robert Saleh made his intentions clear that he doesn’t want a sequel of that in 2024.
Saleh said, in a conversation with Steve Wyche of NFL Media:
Last year was a little loud. We welcome a little bit of quietness.Robert Saleh said
After being in the limelight since last offseason, this time the Jets have handled things being under the radar with subtle free agency acquisition. And if you ask Saleh, he would say it’s for the benefit of their team.
