Roquan Smith found out the disheartening news when he was speaking at a press conference. When Smith was asked about his opinion on Quinn’s trade to the Eagles, the Bears LB took a moment before speaking with a broken voice while fighting tears at the same time.
“Yeah, man. Sucks,” Roquan Smith stated in the press conference. “I have a great deal of respect for that guy. Man, crazy.” Smith then ended the press conference while leaving the room with his head in his shirt, constantly trying to fight tears.
Smith and Quinn have been together since 2020 and have shared a great partnership on and off the field. The more experienced Robert Quinn had a significant impact on young players like Roquan Smith.
