The Denver Broncos are scheduled to start their practice camp for the upcoming NFL season on July 28. But it seems like the Broncos QB Russell Wilson is warming up before the training camp with his stepson Future Zahir. The talented quarterback recently shared a picture of him on the football field with his stepson just a few days after the boy’s biological father, Future, dissed Wilson in his new song.

“Best part of the day #DadLife,” Wilson wrote next to a photo of the two walking on a football field. The former Seahawks QB shared this heartwarming picture just about a week after he was dissed by his wife Ciara Wilson‘s ex-fiance Future.

The 39-year-old rapper took direct shots at the Broncos QB in lyrics, “I got it out the field / F**k Russell” in his new song “Turn Yo Clic Up” featuring Quavo. Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara and Future dated for nearly 2 years, from 2012 to 2014, and had a child. That relationship ended in sour ways after the rapper allegedly cheated on the Grammy Award-winning singer.

After that, Ciara started to date Wilson, and the couple tied the knot at a private wedding in 2016. Along with raising Future Zahir, Wilson and Ciara also have two children, Sienna Princess and Win Harrison.

This is not the first time Future has taken a shot at Russell Wilson. Previously, the Hip-Hop artist once blasted Wilson for not stopping Ciara from bashing him back in 2019. “He not being a man in that position,” he said on THE WIZRD show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. “If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She know that. She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up.”

Russell Wilson is looking to turn things around in Denver

The former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson joined the Broncos in the 2022 off-season with huge expectations. But he failed to perform on the field which led to the Denver-based football team finishing dead last in the AFC West.

As a result, the Broncos fired their rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett, and hired the veteran coach Sean Payton to help Wilson gain his old form back in Denver.

And now, with Sean Payton as his coach, the expensive QB is looking to get the Broncos back on the winning tracks. The Broncos are in one of the toughest divisions in the league and it would be a huge task for them to clinch that division.

But even if the Broncos get into the playoffs as a wildcard team, the experience of Payton and Wilson could play a huge role in their potential playoff success in the upcoming season.
