The Denver Broncos starting quarterback Russell Wilson is coming off of a disappointing 2022 season. After spending his first 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Wilson was traded to the Broncos at the start of last season. He struggled in his first season in Denver as he had his worst season since being drafted.
Wilson is a family man and always hypes up his wife, Ciara on social media. He recently showed support for his wife on his Twitter appreciating her hard work. Wilson and Ciara are married for over six years and have two kids together. They are expecting their third child together as was confirmed in a video posted on Ciara’s Instagram.
Wilson has always been supportive of Ciara and the couple are often seen appearing together at events and on talk shows. Ciara is a singer, businesswoman and actor. Wilson, in his tweet, also plugged in his wife’s new single with Chris Brown called How We Roll.
Wilson has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league since his rookie season. He won Super Bowl XLVIII and has been to 9 pro bowls. He will hope to have a better 2023 season with new head coach Sean Payton. The Broncos have lost both their preseason games with Wilson seeing some playing time in both the games. They will hope to win their final preseason game and take some momentum into week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Russell Wilson and Broncos show growth in their second preseason game

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos had a torrid 2022 season. Under head coach Nathaniel Hackett, the Broncos’ offense struggled to put up points last season. Since then, Hackett has been replaced by Super Bowl-winning coach Sean Payton. The start to the Broncos’ 2023 season hasn’t been ideal as they have lost both their preseason games so far.
There are encouraging signs though. After the recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Payton said he was encouraged by the team’s performance in a lot of areas. “I was encouraged in a lot of areas tonight,” Payton told the reporters after the game on Saturday. “I thought we ran the ball, I thought we defended the run well. Certainly would have liked to have won, but I was pleased by pretty much most of that game.”
The Broncos play their final preseason game on August 27 against the Los Angeles Rams. They will hope to continue building on yesterday’s game and hopefully come out with a win. They begin their campaign on September 10 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
