Star QB Russell Wilson is having one of the worst seasons of his career resulting in the Denver Broncos’ poor 4-11 record for the season. To make things worse, the Broncos conceded 51 points against the Rams last week which resulted in a humiliating 14-51 defeat against the Super Bowl champions. The team’s offense, led by Wilson, was very poor too and scored just 14 points in the game.

This terrible performance resulted in the team firing the head coach, Nathaniel Hackett. Many have criticized this move by the team’s senior management and have demanded accountability from their QB, Russell Wilson. The 34-year-old was offered one of the biggest contracts in the league’s history which now is proving to be one of the worst.

After Hackett’s termination, Wilson spoke about the same to the media and lauded him. He said that Hackett is an amazing man, teacher, and father and he himself has learned a lot from the coach. He thanked him for his amazing services to the team and expressed his love for the man. He added that everyone on the team will miss him a lot.

“I think he’s an amazing man, amazing teacher, amazing father just watching him with his kids, and what he’s been able to do and how he’s taught the game for us. This season has been a season we never thought was gonna happen the way it did, and he was a guy that spent all of his time, all of his effort into us as players, staff members, everybody, and coaches as well. I think he’s gonna be an amazing coach, one of the brighter minds I’ve been around … He’s resilient, he’s a tremendous coach, love him to death, and everybody misses him, for sure,” Wilson told reporters.

Wilson further said that the current season has been very crazy with so many injuries and added that he wishes he could’ve played better for Hackett. He admitted that his level has been very low this season as compared to the past and vowed to work on it in the remaining games.

“It’s been a crazy season — tons of injuries, tons of everything else. But the reality is I wish I could have played better for him, too. Wish I could have played at the standard level that I’ve always played at,” he said.

The Broncos, who are 4-11 for the season, are currently 4th in the AFC West division and are out of the playoff picture. In the remaining two games, they will face the Chiefs and the Chargers.
