“That was TERRIBLE!” Russell Wilson reveals his disappointment and frustration after yet another ‘thumping’ loss against the Rams

Russell Wilson
It doesn’t look like Russell Wilson at all, as things just go from bad to worse with each passing day. The 34-year-old has massively underperformed this season as a result of which, the Broncos didn’t do well and are currently out of playoff contention. On Christmas, the team was humiliated by the Los Angeles Rams 14-51 and Wilson was handed one of the worst losses of his career.
To put things into context, Wilson is no ordinary quarterback for the Broncos. They traded multiple draft picks and players for Wilson and gave him a five-year extension worth more than $240 million, but by the looks of it, this trade and the contract might end up being amongst the worst in NFL history.
Speaking to the media in the post-match press conference, Wilson looked visibly sad and frustrated and said that despite all the reasons, there was no excuse for such a terrible performance. He believed that the team is capable of much more than what they delivered and admitted that they have had some good moments together.
“The bottom line is that I looked down, and it can’t happen. And it’s been disappointing. You know, we’ve had some really good moments this year, we’ve had some really bad moments… I think we’re all frustrated, because we feel like we can be better we feel like we’re more capable of being better. We feel like we’ve had, you know, some, some, some good moments and all that,” Wilson said.
Russell Wilson takes accountability for his performance

The 34-year-old ranks amongst the worst quarterbacks in the NFL currently and things go to the next level when we bring the money spent on him into the picture. As he should have, Wilson took all the blame for this loss against the Rams and called the Broncos’ outing ‘terrible’. He was shocked at himself and was quick to realize that his delivery wasn’t up to the mark.
“But, you know, nobody wants to put out what we put out today. That was terrible. You know, and, and I was that was not us. That was not very good,” he added.
The Broncos‘ 2022 season is over as they are out of playoff contention with an abysmal 4-11 record. They are currently 4th in the AFC West division and will take on the Chiefs and the Chargers in the coming two games.
