Russell Wilson surely got the short end of the stick when the Super Bowl-winning QB was traded to the Broncos in possibly one of the biggest trades in NFL history. However, he turned out to be an even bigger disappointment in Denver as they ended their season with one of the worst records in the league.
On the other hand, Seahawks had a fairly better season as the team made it to the playoffs against all odds. The Seahawks had all their hopes on Geno Smith, who had been promoted to starting QB. The 32-year-old performed brilliantly this season. Though, most importantly, Smith won the hearts of all the fans and became a fan favorite in Seattle.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll probably had the best trade of all time as they got rid of Wilson while building a stronger squad for the future by getting all the draft picks in return.
The Seahawks were believed to have a sub-par season without their main man Wilson, and the Broncos were termed as the underdogs this season. However, fortunes were aligned for the Seahawks who made the playoffs on the last day by beating the Rams in a controversial game. On the other hand, the Broncos ended their season with a win, though it wasn’t enough to get them into the playoffs.
The Broncos prepare for the next season while the Seahawks will face the 49ers in the wild-card round next week. As soon as the news of the Seahawks qualifying broke, people started to troll the Broncos QB and applaud the Seattle folks for having patience and trusting the process.

Wilson and his move to the Broncos will go down in history as the worst trade of all time if the QB doesn’t show up next season. The QB was regarded as a Hall of Famer during his Seahawks days. However, with the Broncos, it’s a different story altogether.
NFL Twitter was exalted when the Seahawks made the playoffs and quickly showered them with praises and applause with special mentions for HC Steve Carroll and QB Geno Smith.
Wilson was brutally roasted following Seattle’s victory over the Rams and their subsequent qualification to the playoffs. Although the Broncos QB has stated that he will be back next season stronger and better than ever.
Russell Wilson will be going home a bit early as the Broncos couldn’t make the playoffs. On the other hand, the Seahawks will have to cut their celebrations short as they face the formidable 49ers in their next game of the season.
