Let’s Ride! The Denver Broncos have ended their losing streak and won a game at last. The team beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-17 at London’s Wembley Stadium. Russell Wilson showed up and played a decent game after a while. Those high knees that he did on the flight to the UK seem to have paid off after all.
The quarterback ended the game with 252 yards, 18 completions out of 30 attempts, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. The best part was, Russ gave us some flashbacks! He was mobile once again, rushing for 17 yards on 4 carries. That may not be much, but it is more than what we have seen from him in the past few weeks.
Russell Wilson was the center of attention early on. The former Super Bowl winner was criticized for his behavior aboard the team plane as he had claimed to be rehabbing and working out while his teammates were fast asleep. His leadership skills were also criticized after his former teammates had spoken out about him being a reserved person who was not the easiest to access.
Before the kickoff at London, he stepped onto the field, and rather than warming up by jogging or practicing his throws, Russ did something different. He walked mid-field with his headphones on and seemed to just take the air in and feel the vibe around. It was like a quarterback who was playing his first game in the league.

It was a relief to see the Broncos win a game after their recent struggles. They did not play the best football, but it was enough to overcome the Jacksonville Jaguars. Does this mark the beginning of a winning streak? We cannot say for certain. The Broncos will play against the Tennessee Titans on the 13th of November.
