“He’s LOSING HIS MIND”: Former NFL veteran’s revelation about Russell Wilson is extremely CONCERNING
Tyler Polumbus claims Russell Wilson is confusing the entire offensive lineup as nobody can understand his play calling.
Russell Wilson is back in the news yet again. The quarterback has become the poster boy of attention-seeking this season as he is in the limelight almost every week for his actions. A couple of weeks ago, he was working out for 4-hours on the plane while his teammates were asleep.
Then the revelation surfaced that Russell Wilson was not a good leader, he was a relatively private person who rarely communicated with his teammates off the field. Former teammates Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman shed light on how the QB received special treatment on the Seattle Seahawks.
This week, another NFL veteran has come out and revealed that the franchise quarterback for the Denver Broncos is getting the most fundamental thing for a QB wrong. Wilson has been calling some plays with the wrong audibles.
Wilson has reportedly been using audibles or codenames from Seattle. The codenames are used by teams to convey plays to the offense when in a pre-snap position. Russ has been calling the right plays but in the wrong manner. The only man who can understand what play Russ is referring to is Tyler Polumbus.
Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett did not deny these allegations against Russell Wilson:
Here’s what Tyler said via the New York Post, “Russ is losing his mind out there. He’s using audibles from the Seahawks. The guys don’t know the audibles. He’s using codewords that the guys don’t know.” However, the HC for the Broncos Nathaniel Hackett did not accept or deny these allegations.
“It’s news to me, he does have freedom at the line, when he sees certain things, to be able to check to them. We’ve built this system around him. So all the words that he utilizes. I mean, some are from the past, some are from the new… Nothing (abnormal) that I’ve heard. He’s done everything that we’ve asked and we just need to do it at a higher level to get wins.” Hackett offered a neutral and diplomatic response.
If Russ is indeed using the old Seahawks verbiage to communicate with his new teammates, then it is a bad situation. If the athletes on the field do not understand what play you are calling, then no matter how open they are or how fast they are, the result will be anarchy.
Denver has not performed up to the expectations as both Russell Wilson and HC Nathaniel Hackett have gotten off to a rocky start. Russ was expected to be the missing piece that will lead this team to the Super Bowl. However, he just appears to be missing in action this season.
