“Tom Brady was so gracious” – ESPN analyst Ryan Clark acknowledges the legendary QB’s amiable gesture after a shattering loss against the 49ers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady suffered a gut-wrenching blow on Sunday when they lost to the 49ers 35-7. Brady was a little off in that game, completing only 61.8% of his passes and throwing two interceptions.
Tom Brady was seen furious all game and reportedly left Levi stadium immediately after the game. Following this, TB12 was getting blasted on social media all day for being a sore loser, and some even questioned his sportsmanship. Although, on the other hand, he also gained some praise for a kind act involving the same game.
ESPN analyst and former Super Bowl winner Ryan Clark took it to social media and acknowledged Brady’s nice gesture after the game. Quoting another Twitter user’s video, Clark tweeted “Tom Brady was so gracious to all of those young dudes (49ers players)”. In the same tweet, he also noted, “we know how much he hates losing but he showed love to every single player after this game.”
Clark also mentioned that he has so much respect for Brady, and a nice gesture like that should be acknowledged. “so much respect for him. These things should be acknowledged.”
Ryan Clark is a former NFL player who has played for the Giants, Steelers, and Redskins. He has won one Super Bowl ring with the Steelers and also made a Pro Bowl appearance in 2011.
Twitter reacts to Tom Brady’s gesture
While Clark thinks Brady was gracious after showing love to every 49ers player after the game, Twitter users have still not forgotten all the times Brady showed poor sportsmanship throughout his career over the past two decades. Eagles’ fans have noted how Brady failed to Shake hands with Nick Foles after Super Bowl LII where the patriots lost despite Brady’s heroic performance when he threw for 505 yards and 3 Touchdowns with a passer rating of 115.4.
Some Twitter users joked about Brady joining the 49ers next season. “Brady knows they’re about to be teammates next season” – one user tweeted.
Brady is a free agent next season and if he doesn’t retire, He’ll surely look for other options around the league, but for now, he will be focused on winning the NFC South division and possibly making a deep playoff run.
Brady and the Buccaneers will look for a victory that will help them to extend their division lead as they host Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend.
