Davante Adams moved to the Las Vegas Raiders for greater fortunes. However, those have escaped the talented WR as the team is going through a massive transition currently.

The Raiders got rid of their starting QB Derek Carr, and signed Jimmy Garoppolo from the San Francisco 49ers. Additionally, Adams had moved to Las Vegas to play with Carr instead of Garoppolo.

The new signing by the Raiders has come under great scrutiny from many NFL analysts, and Ryan Clark had an interesting assessment for the veteran QB. Garoppolo is a Super Bowl winner with the New England Patriots and was the backup to the great Tom Brady for many years. Those years helped him develop great insight into the game. However, Ryan Clark believes he’s not an improvement over Derek Carr.

“In acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo, you’re not getting an upgrade at the position from a talent standpoint,” Ryan Clark stated on NFL on ESPN. According to the ESPN analyst, Garoppolo is not an improvement over Carr instead it’s the other way around. The veteran QB also has the tendency to get injured as was the case last season with the 49ers.

The Raiders had a falling out with Carr, who was the primary reason for Davante Adams signing for them. With Carr gone, the former Green Bay Packers WR isn’t too sold on the new franchise QB and believes there will be lots of friction.

It is reported that Davante Adams wasn’t looking at the possibility of Carr leaving and Jimmy Garoppolo signing for the Raiders. However, it has happened, and the talented WR can do nothing about it.

Adams also stated that he has joined the Raiders to win big with the team and eventually get his hands on the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, Jimmy G signing for them has probably taken the dream out of reach.

“It all depends on the style of ball that we play,” Adams said. “If we play a certain brand of ball, I can get [Garoppolo] to conform to whatever. But if we use him a certain type of way, then it’s going to make it tough for us to maximize who we should be this year.”

The Raiders are under transition this year and not many great things will be expected from them. Davante Adams will probably have to wait one more season to get his hands on some actual silverware.
