Ever since the Green Bay Packers were eliminated from the playoffs during the 2022 season, the talk of whether Aaron Rodgers will return for his 19th NFL season has been on everyone’s mind.
This has been the same narrative for the past three years – wash, rinse, and repeat. Every year, Rodgers would discuss the possibility of that season being his last, only to later announce that he would be returning for another year. This routine of will he or won’t he retire has left analysts, reporters, journalists, and fans frustrated.
Even this offseason, the 39-year-old said on The Pat McAfee Show that he will spend 4 days in isolation to contemplate his future in the league. A couple of days back, Rodgers’ darkness retreat ended, and he finally came out of meditation and thinking about what he has to do in the next season. Reports are suggesting that he will sit down to have a chat with the Packers’ front office and hash out all the details.
Aaron Rodgers is yet to decide his landing spot for 2023
Ryan Clark’s net worth is $16 million. He said that the reason why people report everything Aaron Rodgers does or says is that he is one of the greatest ever to throw the football. People don’t talk about a guy every year on the same topic if he isn’t an elite player. “Aaron Rodgers is a freaking dawg when he wants to go out there and play football,” Clark said on ESPN’s Get Up.
There was speculation that the New York Jets are the perfect landing spot for Rodgers if he wants to play for another team in 2023. “If you are the New York Jets and you have the Rookie of the Year on defense and offense, you have Breece Hall who’s gonna be coming off of an injury, you have a defense that is championship caliber and you could get Aaron Rodgers, you gonna win,” Clark added.
Ryan Clark also said that the Green Bay Packers need to wait for Rodgers because they are a better football team with him under center. Clark said, “It’s easier to leave a dude who ain’t got no house … but if he got 20,000 square feet and 20 acres and you ain’t have to work in a decade, it’s hard to leave him. You gonna give him some chances.”
Everyone in the league is eagerly waiting to see if Rodgers stays back in Green Bay or if he plays for an AFC team in the next season. Let’s see which of these two storylines comes true.
