The Bill Belichick-New England Patriots association came to an end after 23-years. It happened after the legendary head coach had a dismal season, finishing the season 4-13. Since then, there have been rumors about Belichick becoming another team’s head coach. Among the multiple teams that were linked with Belichick, the Atlanta Falcons emerged as the strongest candidate.
The Falcons interviewed the six-time Super Bowl champion two times. A lot of the analysts and media talking heads believed that the Falcons would land their desired target. However, in a rather surprising move, Atlanta hired former Los Angeles Rams’ DC Raheem Morris as their head coach. That led ESPN analyst Ryan Clark to believe that the media was ‘stupid’ for misinterpreting Belichick’s job prospects.

Clark said, hinting that the NFL doesn’t have nearly as high of an opinion of Belichick as the media and fans do:
Because we’re stupid — that’s why. And we were stupid when Bill Belichick agreed to 'mutually part ways' from New England. Because we feed those stories, not the true people who are making the decisions.Ryan Clark said on Get Up
He further continued:
The resume is our thing… and so when you look at Bill Belichick, we were looking at all those things. Because you are the greatest coach of all-time does not mean you’re the best coach right now.Ryan Clark added
Two of the best openings in the NFL have already been filled. The Falcons hired Morris, whereas the Los Angeles Chargers hired the former Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh. The Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Commanders stand as the last two openings in a hiring cycle that began with eight vacancies.
Craig Carton believes that the Kansas City Chiefs might be Bill Belichick’s next head coaching gig
The Kansas City Chiefs have had great success under HC Andy Reid. However, according to Fox Sports analyst Craig Carton, the Chiefs’ next head coach might be the former New England Patriots’ HC Bill Belichick, who is currently out of a job.

Speaking on Friday on The Carton Show on FS1, the host implied that Kansas City owner Clark Hunt will appoint Belichick to succeed current Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who will retire at the end of this season.
Carton said:
I think Bill Belichick will be the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs next year. I think that's where he goes after Andy Reid retires after this year. There's some smoke around that he may retire. He had a great Hall of Fame career.Craig Carton said
Reid has led the Chiefs as their head coach since 2013 and won two Super Bowls during his tenure in Kansas City. Reid was the Philadelphia Eagles’ coach prior to joining Kansas City.
