Lamar Jackson has been impressive for the Ravens since he was drafted in 2018. However, now his rookie contract is up and Jackson is up for a new contract. The Ravens have non-exclusively franchise tagged the talented QB.
Unfortunately, not a single team in the NFL is interested in acquiring a quality QB who has the potential to be, if not one of, the best in the league. Jackson has been in contract negotiations with the Ravens for quite some time now. However, both the parties haven’t reached a settlement yet.
With many teams not interested in Jackson, the QB has no other choice but to keep going with the Ravens. This new Jackson-Ravens controversy has taken the NFL world by storm and many analysts think that there is something else at play here.
ESPN analyst Ryan Clark’s net worth is $16 million. He was quick to go on Twitter and call out the league for colluding against the young QB who has been nothing but impressive during his time with the Ravens.
“So a former league MVP, 4th in overall wins since entering the league, entering his 5th year & the same age as incoming rookie Stetson Bennet is free to negotiate… but all these teams know before speaking to him that they’re good? Yea right there’s no collusion!” Ryan Clark said on Twitter.
There are many teams who have reportedly opted to not sign Lamar Jackson. The teams included in the list are the Falcons, the Dolphins, the Panthers, the Commanders, and the Raiders. Many teams on the list need a talented QB who can help them snatch victory. However, they are not approaching Jackson for mysterious reasons.

Lamar Jackson’s precarious situation inspired the old debate of race in the NFL
Ryan Clark took to social media to call out the league for not going for Lamar Jackson. The former safety was blunt and candid and stated that there’s the issue of race involved in this recent controversy.
“Maybe, if the legend says it I won’t just be taking up for Lamar because he’s black,” Ryan Clark further stated on Twitter. The NFLPA has also looked into the matter and is keeping a close eye on the whole situation.
Jackson has gained a lot of pedigree in just 4 seasons in the NFL. The Ravens QB is leading the league in passing touchdowns since joining his team, was voted the unanimous league MVP and has a strong 45-16 record as a starter. These are great stats that will inspire any team to go for him.
There are many who are calling out this collusion against Lamar Jackson. However, these are only speculations and it is virtually impossible to prove collusion in the league.
