Team practices are a lot of fun. The intensity picks up a notch when offense and defense go head-to-head. This sometimes results in fights breaking out between teammates as the competitive juices start flowing. Every team in the NFL has stories about practice scuffles.
One such fight broke out in the Dallas Cowboys‘ training session on Wednesday. In a one-on-one practice drill, linebacker Sam Williams and center Brock Hoffman got into a shoving match. It wasn’t long before other members of the offensive line and the defense got involved, with OL Tyler Biadasz knocking Williams to the ground.
There was another fight that broke out on Wednesday’s practice session between Biadasz and another linebacker, Micah Parsons. Parsons threw a punch at Biadasz, which led to a huge scuffle on the field. Things are bound to get heated as there are several players eager to get a spot in the 53-man roster.
The Cowboys will play the Seattle Seahawks and the Las Vegas Raiders in their remaining preseason games. They will hope to get the roster sorted by the time the season starts. They open their campaign against the New York Giants on September 10 at MetLife Stadium.
Tyler Biadasz and Micah Parsons get into a heated fight
The Dallas Cowboys’ pro-bowl linebacker Micah Parsons is one of the best defensive players in the league. He has been a two-time Pro-Bowler already and was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season. He also has a hot head over his shoulders and that was on display in the Cowboys’ practice session on Wednesday.
Parsons got in a fight with offensive lineman Tyler Biadasz and threw punches. This came after Biadasz’s minor scuffle with another linebacker, Sam Williams. The intensity of practices seemed to have gone up significantly in the Cowboys camp as the training camp is nearing its end.
Biadasz and Parsons will be important players for the Cowboys this season as they look to push for a Super Bowl ring. Parsons was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and since then has been one of the best defensemen in the NFL. Biadasz was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in the 2020 NFL Draft and will be a major player for them going forward.
