Sauce Gardner had an immediate impact on the New York Jets and was awarded the Rookie of the Season award. The CB was proficient and helped his team stop many points from getting on the board. After Gardner was ranked as the second-best CB in the NFL. It stirred up massive controversy as defensive players like Asante Samuel took shots at him and blamed the ‘New York’ fandom for Gardner’s allegedly undeserving hype.
With increasing criticism and comparisons makings rounds, the Jets CB recently featured on ‘The Pivot’ podcast hosted by Ryan Clark and addressed all the comparisons.
“If I want to be great, I feel like I’m doing somebody else a disservice by knowing I could be telling him this, but I ain’t gonna tell him this because I want to be better than him if I’m competing with him,” Sauce Gardner said. “That’s not the case. We can all be great. It’s enough space in this world for all of us to eat.”
Gardner is certainly one of those shining bright players who wants to see his contemporaries shine and do better in their respective careers. He doesn’t want to compete with other players and just wants to make himself the best there is out there.
Sauce Gardner displayed an elite game-winning mindset recently when he downplayed all comparisons indicating that he isn’t bothered by them at all and wants to focus on his own thing.

Sauce Gardner wants to win the Super Bowl with the Jets

The Jets finished last in their division the previous NFL season. Fortunately, the arrival of Aaron Rodgers has breathed a new life in New York and Sauce Gardner is part of that change. When the young CB was asked about his ambitions for the next season, he quickly stated that he wants to win the Super Bowl. Additionally, he also wants to be a better teammate this year.
“I want to win a Super Bowl. I want to be the best teammate I can be. Not just my personal goals, but I just want to be more team-oriented. I just want to be the best teammate I can be to help my team win,” Sauce Gardner stated.
Sauce Gardner is certainly miles ahead of all the rookies. The 22-year-old has an elite mentality after playing just a single season in the NFL, indicating a bright future for the young man.
