Jamal Adams doesn’t believe he did anything wrong when he called out a beat SNY writer, who, according to the Seattle Seahawks safety, had it coming. It all started with a reaction post from Adams tagging the picture of the reporter and his wife with the word ‘yikes.’ He later deleted the photo but wasn’t able to erase the chain reaction that began following the post.

On Wednesday, after the Seahawks practice session, the media went into the locker room to find the 28-year-old near his belongings. Without wasting much time, they quizzed Adams about the controversy surrounding his alleged insensitive comments on the internet. Judging by his answer, he was prepared for the question.

Here is what Adams had to say to the media:

It’s always the athlete that crosses the line when he responds. But at the end of the day, disrespect is disrespect, however you want to take it.

He went through with it to make the reporter understand that enough is enough. According to the former LSU man, it was the only way he saw fit to say:

Leave me the hell alone. [Otherwise], when others go low, I go lower.

Jamal Adams does not regret his actions

The New York Jets selected Adams in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. During his three-year stay in the Big Apple, he received All-Pro nominations and went to three Pro Bowls. In 2020, the Jets traded him to the Seahawks, but his time in Seattle has been laden with injuries, limiting his performances.

He was recently out due to a concussion and only returned during the Jets game. When asked about whether he regretted dragging the beat writer’s wife into the mix, Jamal Adams said that was never his intention; his main target was the reporter. According to the Texas native, the reporter has been an eyesore since his time in New York because he has never written anything positive about him.

Adams told the News Tribune:

You can sit there and have regrets. But I don’t live that way in my life. We’ve had history. We’ve never liked each other. I hate that I had to bring her into the situation, but at the end of the day, the ultimate goal was to get at him.

Furthermore, Adams has 44 tackles (31 solo and 13 assisted) along with 2 passes defended in the 2023 season. The Seahawks currently have six wins and six losses and will face the San Francisco 49ers on their next matchday.
