Sean Payton was hired by the Broncos to change their fortunes and make them a playoff-competing team yet again. The former Saints HC had transformed the previous team he was in and even led them to a Super Bowl victory.
Payton’s specialty is transforming the QB’s form as he’s known to make Drew Brees a great QB during his time. There are many who believe that the HC will do the same with QB Russell Wilson, who had the worst season of all time in the recently completed edition.
However, to change the team’s fortunes, the Broncos have decided to make widespread changes to their coaching roster. They started by reuniting Joe Lombardi with Payton and named him as their offensive coordinator. The Broncos didn’t stop there as they also made changes to their defensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and special teams coordinator positions by hiring Vance Joseph, Mike Westhoff, and Ben Kotwica, respectively.
The Broncos are seriously looking to compete this year and will go all in after the disappointments faced in the previous season. HC Sean Payton has hired all the ammunition he needs to make the Broncos compete-worthy once again and people on social media are thoroughly excited about that.
Social Media applauds the Broncos and Sean Payton for making changes to their coaching staff
The Broncos had become a laughingstock on social media after their disappointing performance last season. They had traded for the Super Bowl-winning QB, Russell Wilson, to change their fortunes. However, it massively backfired as the Broncos QB had the worst season of his career.
Regardless, that’s in the past and the future looks bright for the Broncos, who have placed a bet on HC Sean Payton to make changes and have shown their support by hiring his favorite coaching assistants.
NFL Twitter was exalted by the changes to the Broncos’ organization and quickly praised the Broncos for the changes. There were also many who think that the Broncos are going to win their division next year, which includes the Super Bowl winners, Kansas City Chiefs.
However, there were also some who believe that these changes won’t amount to anything and the Broncos will fall short again this season despite signing Sean Payton and the assistant coaching staff. Take a look at some of the reactions down below.
