The football world is captivated by the Colorado Buffaloes right now. The Buffs caused a massive upset in college football by winning their first game against the highly favored TCU, who were the runner-up in last year’s National Championship game. Colorado on the other hand, came into the game on the back of a horrific 2022 season. They only won 1 of their 12 games last season and new head coach Deion Sanders made a host of roster changes before the start of this season.

A lot of high-profile people took notice of the Buffs’ win. One of them was tennis star Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian. Sanders recently appeared on the Fox Sports show Undisputed, hosted by Skip Bayless. On the show, Sanders talked about his players and the difference between captains and leaders. He said “I don’t believe in no captains, I believe in leaders and dogs. Every dog ain’t a leader, and every leader ain’t a dawg!”

Emmanuel Acho, a former NFL player and current analyst, retweeted the video with the caption “Coach @DeionSanders had me run through a wall with this one!” Ohanian retweeted Acho’s tweet saying “I love this. Feels like the diff between a 10x manager (leader) and a 10x IC (dawg).” Ohanian is the co-founder of social media site Reddit.

Sanders was appointed as the head coach of the Buffaloes in December last year. He was criticized for his coaching methods earlier in his tenure but he has silenced a lot of those with their win against TCU. They will play Nebraska in their next game on September 9 and will hope to perform at the same level against them.

Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders lit up TCU in the Colorado Buffaloes surprising win against them. The Buffs were fired up for that game as they were considered as massive underdogs against TCU. They won a high-scoring thriller and Shedeur Sanders had an exceptional game at the quarterback position.

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Deion Sanders talked about his son’s performance in his first game for the Buffs and gave an insight to why he was so motivated to win the game. Sanders said about his son Shedeur, “He loves the game, he studies the game, he prepares the game, and he has a chip on his shoulder, The reason he was so intense and relaxed and ready — not only did he study, but we went to the camp of a certain school, and a certain coordinator we just played against, he’s the offensive coordinator [Kendall Briles], he was at that school, and we went to that school’s camp, and he didn’t pay [Shedeur] no attention. I don’t even think he barely spoke to him. He just pushed him off to the side.”

Shedeur Sanders went off for 510 yards throwing the football and scored four touchdowns. His brother, Shilo Sanders also played in that game and had an impressive outing at the safety position. The Buffs will next play Nebraska on September 9 and Sgedeur will hope to continue his impressive play against them.
