After months and months of speculations, Aaron Rodgers finally left the Green Bay Packers in the off-season and joined the New York Jets. While his exit saddened the Packers fans, their division rivals, especially Chicago Bears fans, rejoiced because of the move. And now, the Bears’ die-hard fan and WWE superstar Seth Rollins is also celebrating Rodgers’ exit from NFC North.

The famed professional wrestler Seth “Freakin” Rollins and his wife Becky Lynch made an appearance in a recent episode of the ESPN show First Take. During the episode, Rollins said, “I’m telling you it feels good, it feels good! I’m so glad Rodgers is long gone in New York. I can’t wait for him to get crushed by Miami and crushed by Buffalo. I can’t wait for the New York media to squeeze from him. Good riddance, No. 12.”

Furthermore, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion also named Aaron Rodgers in his list of top five heels, a.k.a villains in the sports world right now. Rollins list had Rodgers as the No.1 heel among athletes.

Rodgers could be considered a heel for a lot of reasons. He is one of the most controversial players in the NFL. The 10-time Pro Bowl QB has been advocating for psychedelic drugs, which have received a lot of negative reactions among football fans and the general public.

On the sporting side of things, the Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers from the Packers in exchange for a bunch of draft picks. The Jets believed they have a Super Bowl roster and just needed a veteran leader to guide their young core. Rodgers also needed a change in scenery following his ugly campaign with the Packers in the 2022 season.

The Jets went all out to rope in the 4-time league MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the 2023 off-season. They have successfully pulled off the trade, and now they will be expecting results from him soon.

In the last few years, the Jets’ front office has assembled a bunch of talented young players. Last season, the Jets went 8-9 and almost made the playoffs despite the inconsistency in the quarterback position.

Now with Rodgers in the squad, the expectations are sky-high for the New York-based franchise. Rodgers is expected to stay with the Jets for two seasons. So, they have a window of two years to win the Super Bowl under the leadership of the former Super Bowl MVP.

However, their first aim in the upcoming 2023 season would be to break their long playoff drought. The Jets haven’t made the playoffs since 2010, which is the longest playoff drought in all four major sporting leagues in the United States. Rodgers would be eyeing to break that streak.
