“Tyreek Hill is going to find out the hard way,” Shannon Sharpe blasts Dolphins WR for his incorrect comparison of Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes
Tyreek Hill shocked a major section of the NFL, by agreeing to a mega-money trade move to the Miami Dolphins from the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason. The 28-year-old wide receiver agreed to a 4-year contract that will see him pocket a whopping $120 million.
However, all of this was going smoothly until, Tyreek Hill wanted to make a few comments on his former franchise, during his recently launched podcast show.
Shannon Sharpe felt Tyreek Hill will have a hard time at the Miami Dolphins
The wide receiver, made controversial comments on Patrick Mahomes, wherein he questioned his former quarterback’s accuracy while claiming that Tua Tagovailoa would be a better fit for him at the Miami Dolphins this season. Hill also claimed that he did not receive much of the ball last season, and also criticised Chiefs head coach Andy Reid for his tactics.
These derogatory comments from Tyreek Hill on the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback did not go down well with former Denver Broncos Tight end turned NFL analyst, Shannon Sharpe. Speaking on the popular show, Undisputed with Skip Bayless, the veteran ripped apart Hill for those comments and predicted that he will find out what he’s lost after leaving the Chiefs in his debut season with the Dolphins in 2022.
“Tyreek, you got your money, bro,” Sharpe said. “I don’t know why you feel the need to take shots at Andy (Reid), why you need to take shots at Patrick Mahomes. … If you think that Tua is as accurate as Patrick Mahomes, you’re about to find out what it was like to go from a historically great player to a very average quarterback. You’re going to find out, Tyreek, and you’re going to find out the hard way. But you got your money. Just be happy.”
Shannon Sharpe also said, “I just don’t understand why Tyreek keeps talking when he’s made the Pro Bowl every year basically — since Mahomes has been there — as a wide receiver, not as a returner. And he has just taken shot after shot after shot. As I said, we never heard any of this behind the scenes that Tyreek Hill is upset, Tyreek Hill is upset with his role in the offense. He feels that he’s been underutilized. Now he’s out, he’s gotten his money. Now even if that was the case, even if you were (underutilized), why now?”
