Shannon Sharpe finally discusses his ‘rough months’ with Skip Bayless after insensitive tweet on Damar Hamlin’s injury

Anyone who watches NFL is sure to watch talk shows where analysts give their takes on games and players, and basically cover everything going around in the league. Some of the favorite and most-watched shows are First Take, First Things Things, Get Up, and Undisputed. Fans love the “takes” these analysts provide which are informative with a touch of wittiness and fun.
Undisputed has to be hands down, one of the best because of their hosts’ different charm and identity. Shannon Sharpe, Hall of Fame tight end has first-hand knowledge of the game and the happening in team camps and Skip Bayless is a veteran journalist who has been in the industry for almost 50 years and has an extensive understanding of the league and provides one of the best insights on every topic.
Undisputed has been running on Fox Sports 1 for the past six years without missing a beat but there was trouble in paradise for Shannon and Skip in January and it looked like the two were going to go their separate ways. Thankfully, the show has been running its course after the two got into an ugly fight.

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless hit a rough patch after the latter’s tweet
Back in January when Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest right in the middle of the Bills-Bengals game of Week 17, Skip Bayless shared a highly insensitive tweet that angered literally everyone in and around the league. Skip tweeted: “No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome… which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
Skip was thrashed on social media and even NFL players asked him to keep his opinions to himself. After reading Bayless’ tweet, Shannon Sharpe was really hurt by it since he understood the gravity of the situation, having played in the league for more than a decade. Sharpe didn’t come to the studio to tape the show following Hamlin’s injury and left his debate partner to handle it all by himself. This led the fans to come to the conclusion that maybe Shannon had called it quits and was leaving Undisputed.
However, the 3x Super Bowl champ has finally cleared the air between the two and revealed that everything is good between him and Skip. “I wasn’t gonna allow two bad months to ruin six years of a great working relationship,” Sharpe said on The Adam Schein Podcast. “We have a great working relationship. I think it helps our relationship on-air that we are not that close. He doesn’t know what I’m thinking and he doesn’t know what I’m going to say.”
Shannon said that they both had a sit-down and talked candidly with each other and decided that they were better together than apart. This is really great news because NFL and NBA fans will get to see the two battle each other more over their opinions.
