This season, the Baltimore Ravens went so close to the Super Bowl, but the opportunity went misplaced after the team fell short against the Kansas City Chiefs

After a dominating regular season as a top-seeded AFC team, it was the perfect opportunity for quarterback Lamar Jackson to make history, given that he’s the frontrunner for the NFL MVP award. But it all went down the drain at 17-10!

When Patrick Mahomes once again proved his ‘elite’ status by leading his team to their sixth AFC championship victory in a row, Jackson failed to keep up the intensity and struggled to make an impact for his team.

Given that, sports analyst Shannon Sharpe gave some brutal reasons for the Ravens’ quarterback not showing up for his team, once again costing them the crucial opportunity to appear in the Super Bowl LVIII. Though Sharpe acknowledged Jackson’s abilities as he led his team this far, he pointed out how the QB has disappointed his team where he’s needed the most.

In big moments, Lamar Jackson has yet to show up when the team absolutely needs him to.
The three-time Super Bowl winner said on the recent episode of ESPN’s First Take.
And that’s the thing, a lot of times what makes these great quarterbacks historically great — when you take an aspect away, when you take the running game away, we’ve seen (Peyton) Manning, we’ve seen Brady, we’ve seen Mahomes, we’ve seen other great quarterbacks go win those type of games. Yes, you are a run-reliant team first, but if Lamar Jackson is to be believed as what he is, he’s got to win this game.
He added further.

Ravens’ offense fails to deliver in crucial game against Chiefs

After the devastating loss, quarterback Jackson expressed his anger toward the Ravens’ offense, which had held the best record in the regular season.

Counting the last seven games of the Ravens prior to the AFC championship, the offense had averaged 33.9 points per game.

But in the most crucial game, when the Super Bowl was at stake, the offense couldn’t exceed 10 points against Kansas City. On top of that, they committed three turnovers, including an interception from the QB and a fumble.

Jackson expressed that his team’s offense only scored once, and it was more than frustrating for them, as they were angry about it.
