“Tua haters embarrass themselves daily” – Shannon Sharpe makes a fool of himself on live TV after failing to answer Dan Orlovsky’s simple question involving Tua Tagovailoa, fans react
Orlovsky defended Tagovailoa from Sharpe's stern criticism after his fiery speech on Wednesday night.

Shannon Sharpe did not take kindly to Tua Tagovailoa‘s “I keep receipts” statement, which responded to his image of ‘nothing without Tyreek Hill.’ Sharpe is one of the firm believers that Hill is the driving force behind the Dolphins’ success, and he dismissed Tua’s speech about his negative coverage.
He doesn’t care, but he spends 90 minutes at the podium telling you that he doesn’t care. Where was this attitude after the Tennessee loss? That was your time. No, don’t go up there; you beat the Jets. You beat the lowly, pathetic-playing Jets. Bruh, you are standing up there like Dan Marino. Stop playing.Sharpe said in the latest episode of ESPN’s First Take
The Hall of Fame tight end did not end the bashing there. He claimed that the Miami Dolphins were desperate to sign Hill. They needed someone who could ease the pressure on Tagovailoa. And that he was just another quarterback before the Super Bowl winner moved down south.
We remember what you were before Tyreek. The Miami Dolphins moved heaven and earth to get Tyreek, gave up major compensation, and made him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history with years on his contract, something we don’t normally see. And you want to get up there and pretend like you are the driving force?
Tua got support from former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky. He questioned Sharpe’s perception of who Tua was before Hill. Orlovsky asked the names of the recipients before the 29-year-old, which put Shannon on a pedestal.
I think [Jaylen] Waddle, huh, Sammy Parker? He’s in New England now.
Shannon Sharpe was trolled for criticizing Tua Tagovailoa for the criticism’s sake
The 55-year-old is one of the most well-loved media personalities on television. He received tremendous support while switching from FOX to ESPN. However, at times he too makes statements that irk football fans. His take on Tagovailoa being too petty was not taken well by a section of the Dolphins fans, who firmly believe in the former Tide.

They pointed out that Sharpe could not even mention the correct name in response to Orlovsky. It’s not Sammy Parker; rather, the player he was trying to recall was DeVante Parker.
Orlovsky also poked fun by citing his own example. He countered, saying that Tagovailoa may not be on par with Marino Yeat, but Sharpe makes it sound as if the 25-year-old was similar to how he was playing in the NFL. Sharpe, surprisingly, didn’t return the favor on that occasion.
