“Completely unnecessary”: Shannon Sharpe reckons Jerry Jones should have avoided taking shots at Amari Cooper in a bid to praise CeeDee Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys suffered quite a few blows this offseason. Amari Cooper going to the Browns was surely one of them. As a result, the Cowboys will now have to rely on their 2020 NFL draft pick, CeeDee Lamb to do the needful.
As it turns out, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones also reckons that CeeDee Lamb will have an excellent impact on the franchise. He recently told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence E. Hill Jr. that CeeDee would definitely be an upgrade on the recently departed Amari Cooper.

“Amari Cooper was the first one who said ‘NO’ to Jerry Jones”: Shannon Sharpe
Lamb also had a few things to say about getting an opportunity at the biggest stage. “It’s a dream that I’ve always wanted to live and now that I’m actually living it, I feel like it’s my opportunity to fulfill it,” Lamb said. “So I’m looking at it as an opportunity.”
As expected, Jerry’s comments did end up raising a few eyebrows. Talking about the same, Shannon Sharpe on “The Undisputed” claimed that Jerry’s comments were unnecssary. “He was taking shots at Amari. CeeDee Lamb needs to be great for CeeDee Lamb, stop dropping too many balls. He needs to start showing more in big games,” he said.
Sharpe went on to add that Amari was the first man who openly said “NO” to Jerry Jones which, as expected, did not go down well with the owner. “When the Colin Kaepernick protest was going on, Jerry Jones said that Cowboys players will stand in attention, Amari said ‘I ain’t getting no damn shot’ and he missed two games and Jerry never forgave him for it,” Shannon said.
Shannon claimed that all of a sudden, Jerry suggested as if Amari was the problem in the locker room. “Amari is quiet, he is not Michael Irvin where you see the passion on his sleeve and maybe that’s what rubbed Jerry the wrong way. All things said, Jerry took an unnecessary shot at this kid,” Skip added.
