“GOD BELIEVED in Lamar Jackson!”: Shannon Sharpe makes a HUGE $300m worth statement on Ravens QB’s contractual situation

“GOD BELIEVED in Lamar Jackson!”: Shannon Sharpe makes a HUGE $300m worth statement on Ravens QB’s contractual situation

Lamar Jackson performed incredibly well against the Patriots with rushing with 107 yards and a touchdown which saw the Baltimore Ravens defeat the New England Patriots by 37-26.

While some might argue that it wasn’t Jackson’s best game, he still three for 218 yards and went 5-for-5 in the red zone with five touchdowns. One would think such performances would be enough to ensure that Jackson gets a contract extension but that is not the case.

Shannon Sharpe says that the Ravens should be paying Lamar Jackson in full

Both the team as well as Lamar Jackson have agreed to keep contract extension talks aside after their self declared deadline passed after week 1. Lamar Jackson put in a valiant effort against the Miami Dolphins as the Ravens feel short by 42-38.

Its a shame he couldn’t be on the winning side as Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were just too good for the Ravens secondary. However, he was still the best guy on the pitch and everyone had the same reaction – “Pay the man!” Shannon Sharpe shared the same views as he talked about this situation on his show with Skip Bayless called the ‘Undisputed’.

Yesterday’s price is not today’s price Ravens! What you thought you’re gonna have to pay him you’re gonna have to pay more! The Ravens didn’t believe in Lamar Jackson but God did. And you see these numbers he’s putting up? They’ll have to pay $300 million guaranteed! You see what he’s doing? You gotta give him credit,” said Shannon Sharpe.

Shannon Sharpe has earlier criticised Lamar Jackson but now seems to take his side – “Bro, you do realize I was a Raven? I was a Raven before Lamar even thought about or knew about who or what the Ravens were…I want everybody, especially with the teams that I played for the Ravens and the Broncos, yes I openly root for them. Absolutely. But I have to be honest. I’m saying I don’t believe at this current time, and I’m not to say that he can’t get better.”
