Joe Burrow is currently one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league. Apart from his talents and intangibles, Burrow is also popular among fans because of his swaggy attitude and cool mannerisms. The NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal once complimented the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback by bringing his race into the picture.

During a 2022 episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal revealed why he’s a big fan of the former Pro Bowl signal-caller Joe Burrow. “Let me explain Joe Burrow to you guys,” Shaq said. “WGWS, Okay? He’s a White Guy With Swag.”

Despite being a Dallas Cowboys fan, Shaq openly complimented the Bengals star QB on his podcast. “When the cameras turn on so like myself, professionalism takes over,” Shaq said of Burrow. “So when you look at a guy like that, and he’s professional Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom.”

“Then when you see him, something like, oh my god! What’s that? No, he’s always been like that. You should’ve realized that after the LSU game. When everybody’s celebrating, he’s sitting with his legs be on top of legs, and smoking a cigar,” the Lakers legend said. Just like the 4-time NBA Champion, many fans around the league are all fans of the cigar-smoking, well-dressed athlete Joe Burrow.

Joe Burrow is arguably the second-best quarterback in the league right now. So far in his 3-year career with the Cincinnati Bengals, the QB has thrown for 11,774 yards and 82 touchdowns while completing 68.2% of his pass attempts.

After suffering an ACL injury during his rookie campaign, the 26-year-old quarterback threw for 4611 yards and 34 touchdowns while completing 70.4 percent of his passes, which led to him winning the Comeback Player of the Year award in the 2021 season.

Burrow kept his good form in his 3rd year and received his first Pro Bowl nod. Furthermore, he also finished 4th in the MVP award race in the 2022 season. He will enter the final year of his rookie deal with hopes of having a great season next year.

Entering his contract year, if Joe Burrow can win the MVP honors in the 2023 season, he will solidify his future in Cincinnati and will get paid handsomely in the 2024 off-season.
