Shaq terribly snubs Joe Burrow by terming Angel Reese as the greatest athlete to ever come out of LSU
Joe Burrow had one of the most impressive college resume ever during his time as the quarterback for the LSU Tigers.

The Cincinnati Bengals made the best decision in their franchise history when they drafted Joe Burrow first overall in the 2020 NFL draft. The Bengals, who were the butt of all jokes and were called the worst sports franchise in North America, saw their fortunes take a turn for the better with the arrival of the LSU quarterback.
Joe Burrow was touted to be the best quarterback in the draft, with an impressive college resume. In his tenure with the LSU Tigers, Burrow led the team to victory in 2019’s CFP National Championships.
Additionally, Burrow won the 2019’s Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, and Lombardi Award. With such an impressive resume, anyone would crown Joe Burrow as the best athlete to ever play for LSU. However, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal completely disagrees.
Shaq, on Big Pod, said that women’s basketball star Angel Reese is the best athlete out of LSU and not Joe Burrow. He said, “She’s probably the greatest athlete ever to come out of LSU sports. You heard it here first. Male and female. Ever.“
He continued, “See, a lot of us got the package, and we still got the package in our truck. She delivered that package. It’s a lot of names to throw around, men and women, but she is probably the greatest athlete. Some people are going to exclude it to ‘woman athletes.’ I’m not doing that. She is the greatest athlete to ever come out of LSU because she got it done. Joe Burrow got it done a couple of years ago, but she is way more athletic than he is.”
Let’s be real. Angel Reese doesn’t have a resume anywhere near Joe Burrow’s. She isn’t adorned with awards or championships like Burrow, but Shaq believes that she is a greater athlete than Burrow. Burrow plays in the NFL and his athleticism has been displayed on more than one occasion. His ability to get rid of pass rushers has been applauded by experts and fans all over the league. Props to Reese for winning the 2023 NCAA Championship, but Shaq did make a mistake in crowning her the best player in LSU history.
Can Joe Burrow make it to the Super Bowl in 2023?
Joe Burrow had his best season in 2022 as he led the Bengals to a 12-4 season (the Bengals did not play 17 games). Burrow led Cincinnati to their consecutive AFC Championships and, unlike last time, they weren’t able to defeat the mighty Chiefs and make it to the Super Bowl.
Burrow finished the season with 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Much like Tom Brady, Burrow also has the talent of reading defenses quickly and calling plays on his own, and shifting receivers from place to place.
Joe Burrow said during an interview a few months back that the Super Bowl window is always open as long as he is the quarterback of the Bengals. Burrow will play the fourth year of his rookie contract and NFL pundits believe the Bengals will offer him a huge contract extension after the end of the 2023 season in the range of $45-50 million per year.
Let’s see if Burrow is able to take Cincinnati back to the Super Bowl in 2023 or does he fall short once again!
