Former Baltimore Ravens cornerback Shareece Wright came forward as one of the 12 anonymous plaintiffs in a lawsuit against a former Colton high school athletic trainer, Tiffany Strauss-Gordon. Wright was among the original six who sued Gordon in September 2022.

The 36-year-old recently told ESPN‘s “Outside the Lines” that he hoped speaking out against it would help prevent similar things happening to others.

Wright said,

Being a dad and having kids and having nieces and nephews that are going to public schools, it just hit home. I just want to make the conversation comfortable for people to speak up about.

Shareece Wright accused Tiffany Strauss-Gordon of s*xual harassment in high school

The case in question is centered around Tiffany Strauss-Gordon, who was the Colton High School athletic trainer back in the early 2000s. Shareece Wright told ESPN that he met Strauss in 2002 when he was 15 and she was 21. She was the daughter of Harold Strauss, who coached the Southern California school.

Wright revealed that Tiffany had very flirtatious behavior towards the students. She would allegedly give oral s*x under the guise of grooming. Apparently, the situation was widely known, and it even had a name called the ‘Tiffany Treatment’.

School wasn’t the only place where these encounters would take place. Wright disclosed that Strauss would continue such acts during weekly team dinners at her father’s home. His attorney, Morgan Stewart, told ESPN,

You’ve got football, the coach’s daughter, a permissive school environment where it’s allowed to happen. I mean, you’ve got sort of a perfect storm of s*xual abuse.

What happened to Strauss?

After the lawsuit was filed, the district placed Tiffany Strauss-Gordon on administrative leave from her job as athletic director. Following the order, she remained suspended without pay.

From the moment the district was presented with the allegations, we immediately took decisive action by placing the party in question on administrative leave.

However, Strauss’ attorney, Daniel Kolodziej, fought back. Daniel told ESPN that it was mere allegations, and he wanted to remind the people in charge.

Just because there's smoke doesn't mean there's fire.

Wright only mustered the courage recently after coming clear to his mother, who couldn’t believe it at first. His mother asked him the reason for keeping the situation from her, but he had no answer. However, it opened his eyes to spreading the word in public.

Shareece Wright graduated from Colton in 2006 and attended USC. The San Diego Chargers (Los Angeles Chargers) selected Wright in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He went on to play for the Baltimore Ravens, the Buffalo Bills and finished his career with the Houston Texans
