Competing on German soil for the first time, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-16 to register their fifth win of the season. The Bucs started the season on a poor note, but the team has finally found momentum and currently sits at the top of the NFC South division.
Interestingly, ever since Tom Brady’s infamous divorce from Gisele Bündchen, he hasn’t lost a game and has performed pretty well. Last week, the Bucs defeated the Rams in a nail-biting finish where Brady’s 44-second drive was the game-changer. Against the Seahawks too, Brady’s long passes proved to be the difference between the two sides. This now means that Brady is 2-0 up after his divorce and social media picked this up pretty quickly.
As for Brady, he recently spoke about having zero regrets from his decision to un-retire. Brady came back from retirement just a couple of months after taking the tough decision and many questioned his decision, especially given that he is 45 years old. But Brady said that he felt like he wanted to compete and hence spoke to the team about it.
“I returned because I felt like I wanted to compete, and I spoke to the team about it, and they were excited to have me back,” Brady told reporters in Munich. “I don’t really regret those types of things — I think when I commit to it, I mean it, and I do my best and try to give everything I can to this particular opportunity.”
It was also assumed and rumored that Brady’s un-retirement was one of the major reasons for his divorce from his wife, Gisele Bündchen, but Brady didn’t confirm any of this. He is just adamant that he has no regrets about his decision.
Fans react to Tom Brady remaining undefeated post-divorce
Bucs had a very poor start to the season and now, after Brady’s divorce, they are undefeated. Fans on social media can’t help but notice this and have reacted to the same in a very funny way.
After a week’s break, the Bucs will now face Cleveland Browns in an away game before locking horns with the Saints, the 49ers, and the Bengals before Christmas.
