After the Colorado Buffaloes’ first two games, many believe that quarterback Shedeur Sanders should be in the mix for the Heisman Trophy potential winners talk this year. Great plays aside, one needs to keep the sanctity of the game while on the pitch. The young signal caller seemed to be riled up too much as he had an unsavory altercation with Colorado State Rams Mohamed Kamara.

It was a high-voltage match in the correct sense because, when it comes to facing the city rivals, both sides have only one thing in mind: bragging rights. No one wants to lose in the first place, but when pride is on the line, the level of intensity kicks up a notch.

The same thing happened prior to the game between the Buffaloes and the Rams. Just before the first whistle was blown, CSU players walked onto Folsom Field to get accustomed to the surroundings. But they probably weren’t ready for the hostile welcome from Sanders. The young quarterback sneaked up on the Rams huddle and got into a verbal altercation with a few of the players.

That fiery attitude stayed during the game as well. The Buffaloes had fallen behind after Travis Hunter fumbled the ball, which led to a Rams touchdown. Moments after that, Shedeur Sanders was seen poking CSU defensive lineman in the eye out of frustration.

Social Media not happy with Shedeur Sanders poking Mohamed Kamara in the eye

The game was personal for the Colorado Buffaloes, but especially for Shedeur Sanders. Before the game, Rams head coach Jay Norvell called out Deion Sanders for wearing his iconic hat and sunglasses in a press conference.

“When I talk to grownups, I take my hat and my glasses off,” Norvell said, leading up to the match. That’s all it took for the Buffaloes to make the game personal. However, Sanders’ recent act during the game got way ‘too personal’ for social media’s liking. Check out the reactions below.

The Colorado Buffaloes fell behind before the halftime break. They trailed the Rams by 21-14. Shedeur Sanders, by that time, had thrown 1 touchdown and 1 interception, fueling his anger on a night when things were not going according to the script.
