The Colorado Buffaloes football got a surge in popularity after the former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders took over as their head coach. Furthermore, they also have had some good outings on the field, thanks to Coach Prime and Colorado’s star players, including Shedeur Sanders, Shilo Sanders, and Travis Hunter.
Especially, Colorado’s quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been impressive so far and has been one of the most electrifying signal-callers in all of college football. He is a top quarterback prospect in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. But now, his father Deion Sanders has revealed that Shedeur will skip the 2024 Draft to stay in Colorado.

They're going to come out [for the NFL Draft] at the same time—next year. They're not trying to leave daddy this year by the way.Deion on The Dan Patrick Show.
This is not the first time the Pro Football Hall of Famer has indicated his son’s future plans to stay in Colorado for one more year. He is just emphasizing it now. Nonetheless, Shedeur staying at college for one more year has its pros and cons.
Currently, Shedeur is considered a top 3 quarterback prospect by many people. ESPN’s draft specialist Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Shedeur as his third-best QB prospect behind USC’s Caleb Williams and UNC’s Drake Maye. Kiper further noted that Sanders would be available late in the Top 10 picks. So he is trending in the right direction to get drafted in the 1st round in 2023, which has a stacked quarterback class.
If Sanders stayed at college for one more year, he could very well enter the 2025 draft as a No.1 QB prospect. But then again, his draft stocks could also drop, but it depends on how well he plays in the next season. Either way, this is great news for the Colorado team, who would get the service of a great quarterback one more year.
Deion Sanders explains decision of Shedeur Sanders skipping 2024 NFL Draft
Recently, Deion Sanders announced that his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders will skip the 2024 Draft and will stay in Colorado for one more year. Shedeur staying in college for one more year has raised a lot of opinions, but Deion has a reason why his sons decided to stay.

Why would we, when we’re having a great time here. When we appreciate and love where we are, it’s hard to look at somewhere else.Deion via On3.com.
Nonetheless, Shedeur Sanders staying in Colorado will greatly benefit the Buffaloes, who get to have a Heisman Trophy-caliber quarterback for one more season.
