After giving one dedicated season to the Green Bay Packers, Jonathan Owens bid farewell to the franchise as he is moving to the Chicago Bears. And there is one person, who couldn’t be happier– Simone Biles, his wife and the gymnastics GOAT. 

Aaron Wilson of KPRC in Houston reported, that the Bears have offered a two-year contract deal worth $4.5 million to the star safety. This announcement comes exactly 10 months after he signed a deal with the Packers in May 2023.

As Owens thanked the Packers and fans for welcoming him and his wife with open hearts, Biles isn’t getting tired of expressing her overwhelming happiness by this offseason move of her husband. Within twelve hours, the legendary gymnast posted around five tweets about Owens’ signing with the Chicago Bears.

She wrote after expressing her gratitude towards the Packers and fans for their love for her husband:

One of the biggest reasons behind Biles’ utter happiness and excitement about Chicago, which she also posted on X (formerly Twitter) is not having connecting flights to attend Owen’s games. She resides and trains in Texas and it is easier to get to Chicago from there, as compared to Green Bay. 

Biles also expressed her love for Chicago, writing:

I just love the city of Chicago.

She also gave the fans a reason why: Pizza and hot dogs. 

Moreover, she also wrote how proud she is of her talented husband, claiming this is just the beginning for him, indicating there are miles to go. “The grind never stops,” she wrote.  

How did Jonathan Owens adjust the transition from the sidelines to the spotlight?

Although signing Owens isn’t a major offseason move by the Bears, fans sure are making a big deal out of it. And it’s all because he is married to the consensus gymnastic GOAT, Simone Biles. Bears fans are even celebrating because they got Biles’ husband on their team. 

When the celebrity couple made their relationship official after the COVID-19 pandemic, Owens came into the sudden limelight, with paparazzi and fans all around seeking a glimpse of their love. Given Biles is the gymnastic queen of America, her fan following is immense.
