Jonathan Owens, the husband of four-time Olympic Gold Medal winner Simone Biles, has decided to move from the Green Bay Packers. The Packers had a splendid performance last year as they reached the Divisional Playoff round by eliminating the Dallas Cowboys. They were also on the verge of eliminating the San Francisco 49ers, however, choked in the dying minutes of the game. Despite failing in the Divisional round, the team won hearts and their run will be remembered by the fans.

Despite contributing well to the team’s cause, Jonathan Owens decided to move on to their Divisional rival the Chicago Bears. Biles also announced the departure on her X account. She thanked the Packers for providing a great atmosphere to his husband for the latter’s growth.

Before the Packers, the safety had the fortune to play for two different teams. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. However, he never got an opportunity to make his debut ahead of the 2019 season. In 2019, he was drafted by the Houston Texans where he had four seasons. In the first three, the safety played only 14 games. In the small stint, he registered one interception, one fumble recovery, and 18 tackles.

The breakthrough season came the next year. In the 2022 season, he registered 125 tackles in 17 games. Following his performance, the Green Bay Packers signed him for a one-year deal ahead of the 2023-24 season. He played well in the season, registering 84 tackles in 17 games.

With the arrival of Jonathan Owens, the Chicago Bears are eyeing for a complete restructure

After the Bears had a difficult season in the 2023-24 season, they are looking for a change in the squad. The team may release their quarterback Justin Fields and look for Caleb Williams in the coming time.

After signing Owens, the Bears have already made a move to strengthen the defense. If the team also manage to sign the former Heisman Trophy winner then they will surely be able to pose a threat to others.
