The biggest fan as well as the biggest critic of the Dallas Cowboys, Skip Bayless seems a bit frustrated with his favorite team. He criticized veteran owner Jerry Jones for a not-so-proactive NFL offseason. In addition, the trade of Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans has also made Bayless critical of the Cowboys.
After Stefon Diggs got traded to the Houston Texans, debates started emerging about whether the Dallas Cowboys were still the best team in Texas. After a four-year-long drought, the Texans managed to make it to the playoffs last season and were eventually more successful than the Cowboys.
Considering all these, analysts like Stephen A. Smith raised the claim that the Texans are now the better team in Texas. This was echoed by the veteran analyst Skip Bayless on Undisputed.
The Texans as we speak right now as is are better, I'll just say they're a little better than the Dallas Cowboys. We lost a very good center to Washington. We lost a pretty good RB in Tony Pollard and I don't see how we're going to replace him unless we draft somebody.Skip Bayless said
It seemed from his words that the veteran analyst had not yet pardoned Jerry Jones for not being proactive in the offseason. He noted that the Cowboys made a mistake by letting Tyron Smith go as he was key for the success of the team.
We lost a linebacker who did make a Pro Bowl and Stephon Gilmore is still sitting out there unsigned, and I don't know if Jerry is waiting there, he talked about it but we never heard the end of it.Skip Bayless added
Is Skip Bayless losing hope on the Dallas Cowboys?
Last season, CeeDee Lamb played an integral role in the Dallas Cowboys’ charge. Despite that, Skip Bayless believes that the Texans hold better-receiving options than them.
When I look at the Texans receiver room, it is spilling over with receivers that we don't have. So the depth that receiver room is way advantageous to Texans.Skip Bayless claimed
After the defeat against the Green Bay Packers last season, the veteran analyst attacked Jerry Jones and the entire team brutally. As things stand, he is a bit skeptical about his favorite team, Cowboys.
