“Cooper rush would’ve won,” Skip Bayless BOLDLY claims Cowboys could’ve beat the 49ers by playing their backup quarterback instead of the ‘inconsistent’ Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys led by Dak Prescott suffered a heartbreaking loss against Kyle Shanahan‘s San Francisco 49ers in their divisional-round matchup on Sunday. After the game, Dallas’ QB Prescott was blasted on social media by many people for his hideous 2-interceptions outing. Furthermore, long-time Cowboys fan and television personality Skip Bayless joined the Prescott slander by burning Dak’s jersey and posting it on social media.
The 7th-year quarterback threw for just 206 yards and one touchdown while completing 62.2% of his passes. Moreover, the QB’s two interceptions proved to be very costly, as they killed two pretty good drives for his team. The Niners on the other hand had a rookie quarterback Brock Purdy, who understood his responsibility and trusted his playmakers to do the job for him as simply played “the game-manager” role instead of trying to be a hero and managed to secure the victory.
Following his hideous performance, Dak took responsibility for the loss during the post-match press conference. “Just two throws that I can’t have, you can’t have in the playoffs, you can’t have when you’re trying to beat a team like that, you can’t have when you’re playing on the road. No excuses for that. Those two are 100% on me,” said Prescott about his two interceptions.
However, it seems like the fans had enough of the Mississippi State product since most people want the Cowboys to trade him away and replace him with a new QB. And Skip Bayless had an interesting perspective on the loss as he said that Cooper Rush could’ve won the game for the Cowboys.

Speaking on his show the UNDISPUTED with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless said that even though Dak Prescott is a better quarterback than Cooper Rush, the latter could’ve helped the Cowboys to win this game.
“Dak Prescott is better than Cooper Rush, but I gotta tell you, Cooper Rush would’ve won that game yesterday,” said Skip Bayless on his show. “Cooper Rush is exactly what I needed yesterday. I needed a quarterback who could handle the offense and make just a couple of big throws at a perfect time.”
“He has a little better command to efficiently and consistently run the offense than Dak. I’m not saying he’s better because Dak will go on flashes during the year where you say, ‘oh that’s a top two or three offense’ right? And he’s an edge of the top 10 quarterbacks, well I can’t make that case on Cooper Rush, but you watch somebody’s gonna pay Cooper Rush and make him their starting quarterback. He will not be a Dallas Cowboy and unfortunately going forward Dak Prescott will be,” said Bayless.
On the business side of things, the Cowboys will be stuck with Prescott for some time since he has a guaranteed salary and other teams would hesitate to take that contract away from the Dallas-based franchise by trading for him.
