Since the Dallas Cowboys‘ elimination from the playoffs, Skip Bayless has repeatedly voiced his disappointment with the team that he has been supporting since the age of 10. But most of his anger is directed toward owner Jerry Jones and head coach Mike McCarthy, whose contract has been renewed for the fifth year.
The already displeased Bayless had another outburst on FS1’s “Undisputed,” when he addressed McCarthy’s first press conference after being reinstated as HC.

Bayless said:
I’m listening to Mike McCarthy last night and I’m thinking, ‘Does this man have no shame?‘ He has the audacity to stand up there and play us all for all-time gullible fools and maybe we are in Dallas. Maybe year after year, we do buy-in and we buy back in, we buy back in. Fool us once, fool us twice..fool us 29 times.

With discontent filled in his voice, analyst Bayless criticized McCarthy’s statement that “the direction, the leadership, everything is in place, buy into us,” from his recent press conference. The Cowboys fanatic refused to buy McCarthy’s words on the leadership, emphasizing how Dallas once had the highest number of Pros.
He also pointed out how the Cowboys were seven and a half points favoured over the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round game of the playoff because they had more talent than their opponent, however, the team failed to play that way.
Though Bayless acknowledged the Cowboys’ talent, he rejected the idea of McCarthy being the one to end the team’s 29 years of playoff drought.
How Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott failed to deliver for the Cowboys in the playoffs
Another hot name on Analyst Bayless’ list alongside head coach McCarthy is quarterback Dak Prescott. He believes Dallas’ head coach creates a country club of a comfort zone in their room and that’s why, again and again, the Cowboys have been a show in the playoffs. And that’s preciously why every player of the team stood up for him amidst the firing rumors.

Bayless blamed McCarthy for quarterback Prescott’s no-show game against the Packers, which brought Dallas a loss by 48-32 and elimination from the playoffs. He also criticized the Cowboys’ star QB for his QBR which is below 50, which means below average.
The Undisputed host claimed McCarthy never gets the team ready enough to play in big playoff games. And as he is returning for another year, all those missteps would be played in a sequence once again.
