The Kansas City Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl by defeating the San Francisco 49ers in a tightly-contested game. In the post-game presentation, both quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce clearly stated that they would go for more. The TE openly stated that the team would go for a 3-peat (a famous record that Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls accomplished in the NBA).

The Chiefs rose like a Phoenix bird in this year’s NFL. The analysts earlier wrote them off considering their poor form in the regular season. The team had multiple offensive struggles and hence went through several struggles. In addition, the Chiefs missed the No.1 seed spot in the AFC.

Nevertheless, the team started getting back on form in the postseason. With the help of the defense, they eased past every team in the postseason. Following the dominant performance of the Chiefs, analyst Skip Bayless, in one of the episodes of the show Undisputed, claimed that only the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow could beat the Chiefs and stop them from winning the Super Bowl for the third time in a row.

Bayless said:

Just the same way that Mahomes has had San Francisco's number because he's now 4-0 (against them), Joe Burrow has had Mahomes' number. And it doesn't matter to me who you get. As long as he's got Ja'Marr Chase, they are serious business.

Joe Burrow indeed shares a very good record against Patrick Mahomes. He is one of the two quarterbacks who beat the QB and the Chiefs in the postseason. In addition, he also beat the QB in the regular season game in 2022. The Chiefs managed to beat the Bengals in the 2023-24 season but Burrow was not present in the game.

Skip Bayless believes Joe Burrow can beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead

The veteran analyst advocated that Joe Burrow is the only quarterback who can go to the Chiefs’ home ground and can beat the Chiefs. The Chiefs have made Arrowhead their fortress and very few teams have the success of beating them on their ground, Burrow and the Bengals are one among them.

Remembering Burrow’s legacy, the veteran analyst stated:

He is capable of going into Arrowhead and winning because I saw him do it in an AFC Championship Game. He's capable of going up to Josh Allen and winning because I saw him do it in a playoff game.

Burrow went through wrist surgery after he was subjected to a finger injury in the middle of the season. He is expected to take part in the organized team activity in the postseason.
