This year, Christmas Day had seen quite thrilling matchups, especially when the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against their divisional rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders. The game was thrilling as the odds were against the Raiders, yet they secured a huge victory at 20-14. In Skip Bayless‘ words, a true “Christmas miracle.“

Despite not exceeding more than 205 yards by the offense, the Aidan O’Connell-led Raiders pulled off the victory, all thanks to their solid defense. Ahead of the week 16 game, the biggest task for the Raiders was to work out a plan of action to block quarterback Patrick Mahomes. And they sure did!

It was solely the defense that led their team to the Christmas miracle of winning over the reigning Super Bowl championships. While talking on the matter, sports analyst Bayless acknowledged the miraculous victory by the Raiders.

Bayless said on the latest episode of UNDISPUTED:

You appreciate what you saw yesterday. Because it was a Christmas miracle, what they [las Vegas Raiders] what they pulled off and there was nothing phony about it, there's nothing fake about it. There's no smoking mirrors about it, it's just punching them in the mouth.

Bayless believes the Raiders played like they needed the victory more than the Chiefs and they did that by going after their opponent’s “magician quarterback” Mahomes. By sacking him four times, the Raiders kept the star quarterback unsettled for the entire game. Three of those sacks were made by the opponent’s Malcolm Koonce. They didn’t allow the Chiefs to score a single point until the second quarter. And even in that quarter, the Raiders stole the show as they logged two touchdowns in seven seconds.

Skip Bayless mocked Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift

While talking about the Raiders’ mindset to win the game, Bayless also mocked Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who is a mega superstar, saying: 

You [Chiefs] can have Taylor Swift up in the suite, if you want her. She can look down on your team and bless your team if you want that.

In addition to this, Bayless also the reason why Kelce hasn’t been able to lead his team to victories in the past two games is because of his girlfriend, Swift. He stated that Kelce’s highly-publicized relationship with Swift is distracting for the Chiefs’ tight end.

Bayless also pointed out the close friendship that Swift shares with quarterback Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes. As the two of them are together in the suite for their partners, it’s distracting for them.
