The Kansas City Chiefs proved yet again that they are the new dynasty in the NFL. After an inconsistent regular season, the squad got its focus together and has played like an entirely different team in the postseason.

Heading into the AFC Conference Finals, the Chiefs were counted out by a lot of fans and analysts as the Baltimore Ravens have been dominant this year. But once the ball was snapped, it was clear the Chiefs were executing better than their opponents and, as a result, won the game.

Skip Bayless of FOX Sports’ Undisputed had predicted the Ravens to take the win but after watching how things unfolded, the analyst was dumbfounded.

He was shocked at the state of the Ravens’ defense which has been the best in the NFL for the entire year, but failed to stop Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes from going off.

Travis Kelce is still Travis Kelce and clearly he's everything to Patrick Mahomes in a game of this magnitude...that defense...they do everything but guard Travis Kelce when you have to in the first half.

The quarterback-tight end duo connected on the first touchdown of the game, five minutes into the first quarter. The Ravens made a strange call on defense as they decided to let a single DB guard Kelce as opposed to double-teaming him. Patrick Mahomes saw this and took full advantage of this. In the first half alone, the duo went 9/9 on passes thrown to him and caught by him.

The second half was great for the Ravens defense. They managed to hold the Chiefs scoreless and they held them to a record low in terms of passing yards.

In the second half, they (Ravens defense) gave a Tour De Force against Patrick Mahomes because.. the offense threw for 69 yards in the second half.

Skip Bayless highlighted

He pointed out that the Chiefs offense punted the ball 5 times in the second half because the defense was on the heels of the team’s receivers. It was total lockdown D and as a result, the Chiefs could not get opportunities to score.

But at the same time, the Ravens offense was struggling as well. Skip Bayless brought up the fact that Lamar Jackson threw 25 passes in the second half while completing 15 of them, but he failed to make a big play to give the Ravens the edge.

The Ravens almost had another touchdown but Zay Flowers’ decision to taunt L’Jarius Sneed which resulted in the team getting a 15-yard penalty, was the team’s first setback. Flowers went on to fumble the ball on the following play.

If he had held on to the ball, the Ravens would have been in a position to tie the game. Lamar Jackson had an interception as well in the 4th that cost the home team an opportunity to score. The mistakes eventually kept on piling up and, ultimately, this cost the team dearly.
