“Found the newest player nobody knows to j**k off to!” – Skip Bayless gets WASHED on social media for his ‘wild’ take on Deuce Vaughn during Cowboys’ preseason game
Vaughn has only played two preseason games, but for Skip Bayless, that's enough to declare the rookie running back a star in the making.

Skip Bayless, renowned for his polarizing viewpoints, often stirs debates among his followers due to his provocative opinions. As a self-proclaimed Dallas Cowboys supporter, he frequently faces accusations of bias toward his team. Therefore, he found himself in hot water with fans when he predicted that rookie Deuce Vaughn would become a breakout NFL star.
There’s no denying that Vaughn has made a lasting impression in his initial preseason appearances, earning acclaim from across the nation. His darting and mazy runs have left audiences in awe. No wonder Bayless is drooling over the 21-year-old.
His comments have brought his naysayers together once more, who were looking to pounce on any loose ends. Few pointed out that the veteran analyst never sees any fault with his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Some even brought up the fact that Detriot Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has had a better start than Vaughn.

Bayless’ statement did not go down well on social media. Several pointed out that he would be a practice squad player at best and wouldn’t make it in the NFL.
Deuce Vaughn’s story is that of an underdog. Standing at a mere 5 feet, he has been the subject of several debates about whether his height would become a factor during his playing career. That wasn’t the case in the first two preseason friendlies, however. He came on and made some electrifying touchdowns that excited Skip Bayless.
Despite Bayless having Vaughn’s back, his underlined numbers were not that impressive. Against the Seattle Seahawks, he only managed 14 yards in five rushing attempts, with 2.8 yards per attempt. His low center of gravity allowed him to slip through challenges, but he wasn’t able to carry the ball far.
On the other hand, he will have tough competition for a starting running back spot in the Cowboys squad. Fifth-year player Tony Pollard will be the first name on the team sheet. Rico Dowdle and Malik Davies are ahead of him in the pecking order. Furthermore, seasoned pro-Ronald Jones is set to return after being sidelined by injury. Bringing his Super Bowl-winning experience from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he’s set to infuse the Cowboys’ locker room with a new level of championship know-how.
Bayless may hype up the Kansas State graduate, but he has several hurdles to leap over before he can call himself a starter. For now, he should focus on getting used to the speed of the NFL. There’s a gulf between playing well in friendly games and performing consistently in the regular season.
